MDSC presents La Fete du Henna in an effort to promote and uphold the beautiful Sephardic customs and traditions in the nation's capital.
About the Event
A Henna is a traditional ceremony performed for the bride and groom before an actual wedding takes place. During the ceremony, guests and relatives sing to express their happiness about the couple’s imminent marriage. MDSC is continuing this tradition by hosting a “mock” Henna ceremony complete with live Moroccan music, authentic Sephardic cuisine and dancing.
